Een zwarte komedie, gebaseerd op historische gebeurtenissen, vol absurdistische humor en politieke satire. ‘The Kidnapping of a President’, met in de hoofdrol Jussi Vatanen (‘Fallen Leaves’), zet aan tot reflectie over de staat van een democratie en de opkomst van extremisme in de huidige tijd. Een film die naast een lach ook stof tot nadenken levert.
